Sassafras is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer- Knowledge Assessed, Certified Trick Dog Instructor, AKC CGC/Trick Dog Evaluator, and Level 2 AKC FIT DOG Instructor. Sassafras is also a Fear Free Certified Professional. Sassafras’ work focuses on multi-media education for dogs and people. Their goal is to find ways to help people and dogs communicate better with eachother, and have more fun together! Sassafras is especially passionate about finding ways to make dog sports more welcoming and accepting for dogs and handlers.

Sport Dog Journey
When I began my dog sport journey earlier this year I found your fit dog page and really dove into how everything works. Sassafras has always been so nice and professional. When I had questions, I didn’t feel like a burden to be asking them. I love that we have an accessible space to have fun with our dogs! We have always used you for our Fit Dog testing and even to get our TKN! I began with one dog and now have FITG for my dachshund and my bronze for my older pup. I’m definitely so appreciative of everything you do.

Fun + Cool Tricks
I have had such a great time training my Dachshunds with Introvert Circus! The content is accessible, upbeat, digestible, and fun. I am really impressed with how much out little team has accomplished in such a short time. In addition to performing cool tricks, these dogs have gained confidence in themselves and their ability to navigate the world. 10/10!

One Trick at a Time
I found Sassafras Patterdale on Facebook when I was looking for an evaluator for my novice Trick dog title. I’m not great with technology and submitted each trick separately. I’m sure there was a better way to do it but they watched each short video and we received our paperwork to submit to AKC really fast. We have earned our Fit dog bronze, our Trick dog novice and last week earned our Trick dog intermediate title, all with their help. I highly recommend Sassafras!
